Senior Program Manager – IT Solutions (Contract Position)
Location: Nashville, TN
Position Overview
TriMech is seeking a Senior Program Manager for a contract position to oversee the implementation of complex IT solutions within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role requires a strategic leader capable of managing cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Lead all phases of IT projects, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
Project Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including roadmaps, status reports, and presentations.
Requirements Gathering: Interface with business users and stakeholders to gather and document business and functional requirements for systems and solutions.
Team Facilitation: Facilitate meetings with core solution teams, vendors, and third-party stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Liaison Role: Function as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
SDLC Documentation: Execute System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation for computer system implementation projects.
Quality Assurance: Perform functionality, usability, and testing during required project phases to ensure quality and compliance.
Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and lead teams that may include multiple contractors from different companies.
Operational Transition: Collaborate with the support team to transition projects into operational support at the close of each project.
Post-Implementation Support: Provide post-implementation support, documentation, and ensure smooth handoff to IT support maintenance teams.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in IT solution development, support, or implementation.
Project Management: At least 3 years of experience leading complex IT projects, preferably in manufacturing or regulated environments.
Methodologies: Proficiency in project management techniques and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
SDLC Knowledge: Experience with all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing systems and processes is a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships effectively.
Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
Regulatory Experience: Experience in regulated environments and manufacturing projects is a plus.
