Holland Southwest International is hiring a local / regional driver to deliver wood products to customers in the Houston Metro Area. Driver is supplied with a Day Cab and is home nightly and off weekends. Trailers are curtain side trailers

Driver Classification:

Local/Regional (Day Cab Driver)

Required experience:

Class A CDL: 2 years (Minimum)

Required license, skills, and abilities:

Class A CDL and DOT Physical Card

Must be at least 21 years of age

Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review (No Exceptions).

NO MORE than 2 moving violations within last 3 YEARS.

Flatbed/Curtainside Trailer Experience Preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

REQUIRED: Ability to depart daily from our loading yard at a predetermined time, usually between 4AM to 6AM.

Willingness to play team by following the company's outlined system.

Drive and operate a Curtain side tractor-trailer and/or flatbed delivery truck for ground deliveries as well as dock deliveries in a safe manner.

Secure load with straps as needed. Ensure that load is within rated capacity of the delivery truck and load does not exceed maximum weight requirements.

Deliver product to various locations as instructed and safely unload.

Perform daily pre-trip inspections of a delivery truck and keep daily driver's log.

Ensure all paperwork, including bills of lading, match the product being transported and obtain proper signatures.

Keep delivery truck clean and presentable. Maintain safety equipment supplied with the truck. May assist with keeping the warehouse clean and organized.

Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.

Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service related issues to Management.

Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by Management.
