Allient Inc. is currently seeking a Capture Manager to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI!
Responsibilities:
Maintain customer relationships while ensuring ADS is supporting the customer through the defense contracting and IRAD cycles
Achieve sales and profitability objectives for new and existing customers in the defense sector. Research potential business opportunities and strategic alliances
Responsible for improving productivity, efficiency, quality, culture and profitability by supporting the vision of the company: “Rapid profitable growth by providing highly technical products and engineered solutions to the global Defense and Commercial Business sectors.” This includes meeting financial targets as set forth by the company.
Identify new sales opportunities and provide solutions to those applications as applicable to our areas of expertise – including but not limited to hydraulics, mechanical, electrical and composites with a view to sell upper-level system solutions.
Coordinate with Program Management, and the Engineering team to ensure new sales opportunities are clearly scoped out and understood as a part of the bid process
Respond to and process customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner for the business unit and direct requests accordingly. Work with Program Management, and the Senior Director Business Development to ensure we are quoting profitable projects that will have a high probability of success
Address customer concerns by “championing the customer relationship”, working closely with Program Management and Engineering to ensure issues are resolved effectively and to satisfaction of the customer and the business case
Execute business plan in line with company vison and objectives with the overall intent of broadening our Defense sector business base and profitability
Ensure all key performance indicator targets including sales and gross profit are met for your accounts
Leverage time management skills to serve several customers, projects and employees at the same time
Follow regulations and policies as outlined in company’s employee handbook
In accordance with the health & safety policy, follow and exceed the legislative requirements outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act in order to provide a safe & healthy workplace
for all employees.
Follow ISO Policy Manual and Procedures
Follow requirements as required by Controlled Goods Registration and other defense sector registrations (i.e. ITAR, etc.)
Other duties and projects as assigned throughout the year
Minimum Qualifications:
College or University Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical Engineering preferred)
Experience in product and service sales for a highly engineered product line
5+ years of sales/ marketing experience with established contacts and relationships within defense sector.
Proven track record of success in a sales capacity
PC knowledge of MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint
Experience with Microsoft Office Productivity Suite
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Able to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills
Professional personal presentation
Demonstrate initiative, reliability and positive team attitude
Physical Demands:
The role is office-based
Will operate a computer and other office devices
Occasionally will have to lift and/or transport items weighing between 10 and 40 pounds.
Work Environment:
Travel is required.
