Solutions Architect

Ascella Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Solutions Architect with a strong foundation in business systems analysis, data modeling, and solution design. In this role, you will lead the design and development of enterprise-level software solutions, ensuring that they align with organizational goals, integrate seamlessly with existing systems, and are built to scale.

This is a critical, cross-functional role requiring both functional and technical expertise, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze customer requirements and design new solutions or significant enhancements to existing software, ensuring seamless system integration and compatibility across multiple platforms

Identify opportunities to improve current systems and recommend effective solutions

Audit and evaluate existing database functionality to optimize performance and enhance efficiency

Conduct feasibility analysis for new initiatives and present detailed design reports to management

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

5+ years of experience designing and implementing software or solution architectures

Prior experience working with federal financial systems

Strong background in business systems analysis, data analysis, and modeling

Proficiency in database technologies and data query languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, or similar

Demonstrated ability to produce architectural documentation and design reports

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in fast-paced environment

U.S. Citizenship required (dual citizenship is not eligible)

Position will require a Public Trust background investigation

What makes you stand out from the crowd (desired)

Experience with cloud-based architecture platforms such as AWS or Azure

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Pages

Familiarity with database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Microsoft Dataverse

Position: Solution Architect

Location: Washington, DC (Fully Remote)

Base Compensation: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, and we are open to discussing compensation based on your qualifications and experience

Other Compensation: 4% contribution to 401(k), performance bonus, profit-sharing

Paid Time Off: 16 days PTO/year, 11 holidays/year
