The Davey Resource Group (DRG) is currently hiring certified arborists, professional foresters, horticulturalists, natural resource specialists, environmental scientists, GIS technicians, plant and outdoor enthusiasts to join our workforce.
Job Duties
Work with Austin Energy to address its vegetation clearance needs
Inspect utility right of ways and identify vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations
Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps, and use GPS navigation
Communicate with landowners regarding work on or near their property
Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of utility vegetation management experience or similar experience in a related field (tree work industry, landscape professional)
Knowledge of local tree species and growth rates
Ability to hike and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, ArcGIS maps and electronic work planning software
International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist
Texas Department of Agriculture Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle on rough roads
