Decision Support Senior Financial Analyst

SUMMARY

The Decision Support Senior Financial Analyst will produce proformas, statistic reports, operational metrics, ad-hoc decision support analysis, financial analysis, and collaborate with IT/ programming team members to push for automation of routine tasks. Will work on standardization of general ledger, payroll, hospital data analytics, and financials. Will assist system implementations including EMR, ERP, cost accounting, and revenue cycle. Serving as a liaison between hospital leadership and corporate executives.

REQUIREMENTS

Key liaison between finance decision support and IT data team.

Produces operational metrics and service line proformas.

Cross trains with Finance Manager on timely and accurate completion of AR valuation for all entities and collaboration with Revenue Cycle team members for credit balance and account reviews.

Produces monthly net revenue analysis for Monthly Operating Report.

Updates Revenue Cycle Dashboard.

Submits timely and accurate month-end stats, HCAI quarterly and annual reporting.

Works with IT data team on automation of all standard routine reports.

Will work on labor productivity management with Finance Operations team members.

Works closely with SVP on all projects and financial system improvements/ implementations.

Assists with budget reporting requests and financial audit request lists as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.SKILLS/ABILITIES PREFERRED:

Understanding of general financial accounting and cost accounting.

Experience with Power BI and SQL Server Management Studio is highly preferred.

Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

Proficient with accounting software.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred.

At least three years of related experience required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
