Mechanical Engineer / Sheet Metal

Location: Fairfax, OH

Compensation: $100-140 K

Qualifications:

Previous experience in the Construction Industry is required

Previous experience with HVAC is required

Previous experience with Sheet Metal is required

Previous experience as a Mechanical Designer is required

High school diploma or GED required

Strong knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation

Familiarity with federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines

Microsoft Office & PDF Viewer experience

Responsibilities:

Engage with customers and vendors to support project requirements and maintain strong working relationships

Design various types of HVAC mechanical duct systems, including supply, return, exhaust, fresh air, and specialized systems such as fume or dust extraction

Interpret construction drawings and specifications to develop HVAC duct layouts

Work effectively in active construction environments; must be comfortable on job sites

Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes and standards

Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required

Knowledge of building codes and construction practices is a strong plus
