Job Title: Customer Service Representative Portland, OR 97227 (onsite)

Location: Portland, OR 97227

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (Agency Resource)

Shift: 2nd Shift 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Start Date: 03/25/2025

Duration: 3 months

Hourly Rate Cap: $20.50/hr.

Onsite/Remote: Onsite

Position Summary:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the front-line contact for physicians, nurses, and internal staff, fielding high-volume inquiries related to medical terminology, testing, and lab results in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate communication between the lab and healthcare providers, maintaining Client commitment to exceptional customer care.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from healthcare professionals regarding lab testing and services.

Resolve service or billing-related concerns by processing exchanges, adjustments, and issuing credits or refunds as necessary.

Communicate the results of investigations or follow-ups to clients and log all details in the system.

Refer unresolved issues to the appropriate department for deeper investigation and resolution.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions, including actions taken and follow-ups required.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery and accurate information sharing.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Customer service-focused mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and other data entry or CRM tools.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, healthcare-related environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory testing procedures.

Previous experience in a call center, healthcare setting, or laboratory environment.

Education & Experience:

Required: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: 0–2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical field.Company Description
