Job Title: Slitter Operator
Job Description
Join our team as a Slitter Operator in the finishing area, where you will operate slitter machines to ensure high-quality production. Your role will involve inspecting print and seam quality, managing defective materials, and handling rolls, all while maintaining precise data entry and participating in special projects.
Responsibilities
Continuously check for print and seam quality.
Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together according to specifications.
Utilize a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during the splicing procedure, as well as other necessary tools.
Handle rolls and palletize them once finished.
Identify and address any seam-related defects.
Record and enter data accurately on designated paperwork and in the company operation system.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
Experience in production and machine operation.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and division.
Proficiency in data entry.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Work Environment
Openings are available on the 2nd and 3rd shifts, with shifts running from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for 1st shift and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. for 3rd shift. Employees are paid for 8 hours, including a 30-minute lunch and two 10-minute breaks. Please note that leaving the property during shifts is not permitted. Training for all shifts is conducted on the 1st shift for 4-8 weeks. There is a bus route available for all shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.50/hr.
