Job Description

This role involves operating and assisting Press Operators to maintain workflow and work quality on assigned press runs. You will bring materials for press set-ups to press sites, clean presses during job changes, and perform complex operations required to set up, operate, and feed cylinder type printing presses to produce a variety of items. Additionally, you will set up jobs with assistance in the press and monitor the quality of the print as the press is running, check first piece conformance to specifications, and perform daily and periodic preventative maintenance duties specified for assigned machines/equipment. Following all safety rules is essential.

Responsibilities

Operate and assist Press Operators to maintain workflow and work quality on assigned press runs.

Bring materials for press set-ups to press sites.

Clean presses during job changes.

Perform complex operations required to set up, operate, and feed cylinder type printing presses to produce a variety of items.

Set up jobs with assistance in the press and monitor the quality of the print as the press is running.

Check first piece conformance to specifications.

Perform daily and periodic preventative maintenance duties specified for assigned machines/equipment.

Follow all safety rules.

Participate in Performance System activities such as 5Star, Pillar Teams, Audits, and Near Misses.Essential Skills

Work Environment

Join our 500,000 square foot facility where safety is a top priority. The environment is extremely clean and well-organized, with departments including Print, Lamination, Slitting, Warehouse, and Maintenance. We have a strong tenured workforce with an average tenure of 15 years, eager to pass down knowledge. Our facility has recently invested in new machinery and has plans for additional capital expenditures. Safety gear such as GMP, safety shoes, hair net, ear plugs, and safety glasses are required. Enjoy updated breakrooms with new self-serve vending options, and work alongside a workforce where 90% of the production floor is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.23 - $33.23/hr.
