Job Description
Join our team as a Machine Operator and become an integral part of our Twin Screw Compound Operator line or Extrusion line. Through thorough training, you will gain expertise in setting up and operating advanced machinery to produce high-quality products. This role requires a versatile individual who can adapt quickly and manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Setup the compounder, including correct screw removal and installation, machine setup, feeder operation and calibration, feeder cleaning, and cooling tower operation.
Operate the compounder, managing temperature settings, feeder operation, and cooling tower operation.
Setup and operate extrusion machines, including monitoring and adjusting settings, handling products, and placing adhesives correctly in boxes.
Inspect products and ensure quality standards are met.
Think on your feet and adapt to changes quickly while following established procedures and methods.Essential Skills
6+ months of experience in a mechanical role (machine operation, construction, mechanic, etc.)
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Basic computer skills and proficiency
Excellent mechanical aptitudeAdditional Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude
Experience with machine operation, troubleshooting, setup, compounding, and extrusion
Knowledge of blueprint reading, general labor, chemical mixing, blending, and preventive maintenance
Forklift operation experience

Work Environment
Work in a clean and spacious facility where machines produce fiber, composite, and adhesive materials. The environment is team-oriented, with three employees managing two machines. Expect to get dirty at times; however, uniforms and showers are provided. Work hours include three shifts: 1st Shift 7 AM - 3 PM Mon-Fri, 2nd Shift 3 PM - 11 PM Mon-Fri, and 3rd Shift 11 PM - 7 AM Sun-Thur.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
