Job Description
This position requires heavy industrial experience and the ability to utilize computers for documenting production completion. The role involves ensuring correct raw materials are loaded onto the line and assisting with loading the decoiler and pay-off wheel. Candidates should be adept at reading tape measures, micrometers, and calipers, performing quality checks, and assisting with changeovers. The use of an overhead crane to load products onto the line and robotic weld machines to complete finished production is essential. Tac welding experience is considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
Utilize computers to document production completion
Ensure correct raw materials are loaded onto the line
Assist with loading decoiler and pay-off wheel
Read and interpret tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
Perform quality checks using micrometers and calipers
Assist with changeovers
Utilize an overhead crane to load products onto the line
Operate robotic weld machines to complete finished productionEssential Skills

Work Environment
The work environment is a dark and industrial tube mill, with no windows, and it can be greasy and dirty. Employees work 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, with overtime available on Fridays. The culture promotes teamwork and learning from mistakes, with dress code requirements including metatarsals, hard hats, glasses, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $43680.00/yr.
19.00-$21.00 with a $1.50 shift differential
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Gary,IN.
