Job Title: CNC Operator

Job Description

The CNC Operator is responsible for machining, assembling, and finishing rare earth magnet material and hardware to meet customer specifications. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining various machining and finishing equipment while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Optimize safety and minimize risk by wearing required PPE and adhering to safety precautions.

Read, understand, and follow work instructions and process control standards, making recommendations for revisions.

Interpret customer drawings to verify part numbers, revision levels, and obtain specified dimensions and features.

Set up machinery by installing proper tooling, selecting appropriate programs, and obtaining first piece inspection approval.

Maintain machinery and work area by cleaning, organizing, performing preventative maintenance, and requesting consumables as needed.

Operate various machining and finishing equipment, including CNC mills, lathes, and grinders, ensuring quality standards are met.

Verify and accurately record data in ERP systems and maintain inspection records.

Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.

Adhere to escalation policy by reporting issues affecting quality, safety, or productivity.Essential Skills

Proficiency in CNC machinery and operation.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Experience with inspection and measuring tools.

Mechanically inclined with a solid understanding of machining processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification preferred.

1–2 years of machining experience preferred.

Ability to follow standard procedures and use precision instruments for visual inspections.

This role is based in a clean, climate-controlled, and fairly quiet machine shop with a good team culture. Plans for a new building to combine locations are in place, promoting long-term growth. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
