Marine / Dive Inspector

AG Consulting Engineering, PC (AG), a design, engineering and construction management firm headquartered in New York, is looking for a Marine / Dive Inspector to support our client on a multi bridge inspection project throughout the state of Maryland.

Position: Marine / Dive Inspector Location: State of Maryland Project: State, County and Local Bridges Dive Inspector with a minimum of five (5) years experience performing underwater bridge inspections; expertise in underwater bridge inspection; employed by the Prime/JV OR employed by any of the Subconsultants, who will serve as the Underwater Dive Inspector Scope of Services and Examples of Work: Services to be provided may include, but are not limited to the following: Perform detailed bridge condition inspections including underwater inspections and evaluations of assigned State, County, and local jurisdiction bridges.

Perform load ratings, analyses, nondestructive testing, and all necessary engineering services.

Underwater/dive assignments may represent up to twenty-five percent of these contracts.

Bridge inspections over railroads, electrified spans, and inspections of movable components may be assigned under these contracts.

Prepare comprehensive bridge condition inspections reports including all data fields for the Specifications for National Bridge Inventory (SNBI) and bridge element data.

Provide all necessary personnel and equipment for performing required inspections including, but not limited to, bucket trucks, under bridge inspection vehicles, man-lifts, catenary maintenance railroad cars, climbers, scaffolding / rigging, boats, barges, and maintenance of traffic devices.

Consultant shall provide qualified operators for bucket trucks and underbridge inspection vehicles.

Provide NBIS qualified Team Leaders for all bridges including NSTM inspections when required.

Prepare designs, plans, and specifications for repairs to bridges.

Examples of the consultant services to be provided may include the following: Inspection of all bridges owned by a particular local agency over a 2-year cycle.

Inspection of complex or railroad bridges owned by the State.

Providing underwater bridge inspection services for state-owned or county-owned bridges.

Load Rating Analysis of routine or complex bridges.

Providing specialized access to bridges which cannot be inspected using traditional access equipment.

Operating an under-bridge inspection vehicle to perform a hands-on inspection of a bridge.

Timely completion of all inspection reports through Structure Asset Management System (Bentley Assetwise). On-site services for assisting with the OOS bridge inspection program, including assisting with the OOS MOT/access equipment contracts.
