UNDERSTANDING The Shop-Repair technician is an essential role in our manufacturing process of confectionery products by being hands on and reducing overhead cost by rebuilding and refurbishing essential tools to our manufacturing process and maintaining our productions lines running as required.
SCOPE This team member reports to the Maintenance supervisor and is critical in the rebuilding and refurbishing process of any and all equipment or tools that can and may be reconditioned in house to minimize down time to support our manufacturing process along with helping and working with any other departments to achieve our collective goal of on time delivery.

* Follow and perform work to meet company procedures and policies.
* Reports work order and inventory data in CMMS program.
* Rebuild motors, gearboxes, pumps valves, or other miscellaneous items as determined necessary and maintain stock levels of rebuilt parts for MRO.
* Reviews samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of fabricated or rebuild components.
* Determines requirements, methods, and procedures necessary to fabricate or rebuild components.
* Determines resource requirements for the completion of fabrication and rebuild tasks.
* Performs and monitors safe fabrication and rebuild of components to meet component specifications.
* Performs cycle counts of inventoried tools, equipment, materials, and stock consumables.
* Maintains tools, equipment and work area cleanliness and compliance with safety requirements.
* Performs routine shop equipment maintenance and repairs minor damages.
* Provides training for use of shop tools and equipment to shop area employees and others as required.
* Provides training to others on rebuilding items as required or instructed.
* Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in shop, warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms and other areas.
* Marks company tools and equipment using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
* Determines proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities of equipment, tools, and supplies.
* Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS * Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
* Regular and timely attendance.
* Must be able to maintain sanitary conditions for Food Safety.
* Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
* Must have basic math skills (with use of a calculator). * Must be able to read and interpret weight scale readings and tape measures.
* Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds on occasion.
* Must be able to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift with applicable breaks.
EDUCATION * Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
