Geotechnical Engineering Director

Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC (Van Cleef) is a dynamic, multi disciplined consulting civil engineering firm of Engineers, Certified Inspectors, Landscape Architects, Planners and Land Surveyors. With offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, we provide expertise in all of the major areas of civil engineering, municipal engineering, municipal planning, and land surveying.

We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Director in our Freehold, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

Client Support: Ensures client satisfaction and return business through delivery of high-quality design services within established timelines and budgets.Leadership & Team Development: Mentor, support and develop junior engineers. Provide technical skill development along with professional growth opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or Civil Engineering (ABET accredited program)

Licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey

Valid Driver’s License

12+ years of experience in planning, implementing, and managing large-scale subsurface investigation programs

Experience with foundation design, soil stability analysis as well as related laboratory testing, preparation of contract documents, and project management

Strong communication, data management and technical writing skills, both oral and written

Business development and client relationship experience
