Position: LRE Tools Engineer

Location: Remote (EST, CST, MST time zones)

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required

Clearance: Must pass Public Trust background screening

Overview:

We're seeking a Tools Engineer SME to support multiple enterprise tools within a federal account. You will manage and troubleshoot tool performance, support installations and patches, and follow ITSM procedures for change/incident management. This is a hands-on engineering role with automation, scripting, and agent deployment duties.

Primary Tools Supported:

OpenText LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE)

Splunk Universal Forwarder (agents only)

IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT)

Other monitoring/security/automation agents

Responsibilities:

Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain tool agents and services

Plan and apply releases, patches, and updates

Script using .bat and .sh for automation and installations

Manage ITSM tasks including change/incident/problem tickets

Document configurations and deployment procedures

Participate in tool upgrades and validation efforts

Leverage automation to streamline deployment processes

Required Qualifications:

5–10 years of hands-on technical/system administration experience

Windows, Solaris, and Red Hat Linux system admin expertise

Basic scripting experience in shell and batch; Java/Perl is a plus

Automation experience (creating/updating/running jobs)

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication (written and verbal)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Must be a U.S. citizen able to pass enhanced background screening

Preferred Skills:

Experience with OpenText LoadRunner, Splunk UF, and IBM ILMT

Familiarity with AWS tools and environments

AWS Certification is a plus
