About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer or Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing lighting, power, and telecommunication systems within a consulting environment, and experience seeing projects through from conceptual design to construction. This role will play a key part in delivering innovative and reliable electrical systems for healthcare and university facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and telecommunications.
Work closely with project teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet project requirements and applicable codes.
Apply knowledge of industry standards, codes, and specifications throughout the design process.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineering disciplines to develop effective and efficient solutions.
Use Revit to produce detailed electrical design documentation.
Contribute to all project phases—from initial planning through construction administration.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university
(Extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
Minimum 5 years of experience in a consulting engineering environment.
Demonstrated expertise in power distribution, lighting, and telecommunication systems, specifically for healthcare and higher education projects.
Strong working knowledge of design codes, standards, and specifications with the ability to interpret and apply them accurately.
Proficiency in Revit is required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
