Purpose of Position - Heber City, UT
Under broad supervision and direction from the Assistant General Manager, supervises and coordinates development for the District; performs supervisory and administrative duties in planning and coordinating development and construction services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Aids in bidding and bid openings for District projects; oversees project progress and assists in
directing projects as required.
Develop budget for engineering services and manage project budgets.
Oversee the internal checking of plans and specifications for compliance with District standards
and policies, coordinates with consulting engineers.
Provides information for master planning.
Pursues Federal, State, and County funding for water and wastewater projects.
Coordinates with consulting engineers.
Oversee and reviews consultant’s work for accuracy and professionalism; sees to the completion of
contracts.
Provides counsel to all departments on matters of development review.
Answer technical questions and provide information to public inquiries.
Oversee design review committee (DRC) activities on behalf of the District.
o Attends DRC meetings for multiple agencies
o Coordinates design review
o Calculating inspection fees and bonding by developers
o Verifies developer has executed all required documents and certificates
Executes and implements district programs and projects including cross connection, water
auditing, etc.
Occasionally attends various public meetings with the General Manager and/or Assistant General
Manager, assists in the representation of the District at such meetings.
Overseas various district programs.
Performs other duties as needed or assigned by the Assistant General Manager.Company Description
Jordanelle Special Service District (JSSD) manages the water and wastewater systems in the JSSD as well as managing those services for the:
Twin Creeks Special Service District (TCSSD)
North Village Special Service District (NVSSD)
Strawberry Lakeview Special Service District (SLSSD)
Strawberry Ranch Special Service District (SRSSD)
These Districts have a very unique and complex infrastructure in place to serve the citizens of northern, eastern and southeastern Wasatch County for both water delivery and wastewater systems. JSSD bills close to 2,000 customers in the six Districts. JSSD’s system is unique in terms of the locations and mountainous terrain involved in serving the water users within the District. The system includes:
-2 water treatment plants, 1 wastewater treatment facility
-19 water storage tanks
-19 water pump stations
-21 wastewater lift stations
-120 pressure regulating valve (PRV) vaults
