HVAC Mechanical Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking an HVAC Mechanical Estimator to become a part of our team. The new team member will be responsible for all aspects of HVAC and Mechanical estimation which includes taking off HVAC equipment, sheet metal, and piping as well as working directly with vendors to compile accurate estimates for potential commercial and residential multi-family HVAC projects. This candidate must be well organized, hands-on, self-motivated and dependable with the drive to succeed in a challenging and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Accurately estimate plan and spec HVAC and mechanical projects using computer estimating software

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and quotes to prepare comprehensive estimates

Prepare labor and material estimates as well as subcontractor pricing

Prepare and submit proposals to clients for potential HVAC and mechanical projects

Establish and maintain client and vendor relationships

Perform site surveys and attend pre-bid walkthroughs

Prepare submittal packages for awarded HVAC and mechanical projects

Interact with the sales and project management teams to insure all projects are performed under budget and according to plans and specifications

Qualifications:

5 + years of estimating experience in the HVAC and mechanical industry with a proven track record is required

Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other construction documents

Knowledge of different types of HVAC and mechanical systems and their components

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

Thorough understanding of related trades for the purposes of coordinating various project estimates

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
