RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Sr. Building Engineers and/or Building Engineers in performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Participate in emergency response efforts to address urgent repairs and building-related incidents.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to learn and contribute to operational tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Learn and assist in planning and executing preventative maintenance schedules.
• Observe energy consumption trends and assist in implementing energy-saving practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
• Assist in the installation and testing of new equipment and systems.
• Actively function as a team member.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality of service.
• Complies and participates with company policies, procedures, safety program and facilities specific safety program.
• Provides highest quality of service to the tenants, staff and visitors at the facility.
• Maintains regular attendance in the workplace.
• Participate in regular required communication with Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, Sr. Building Engineer, Management and other staff,
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to building systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification meeting OSHA awareness training requirements as required.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is desirable.
• Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and develop technical skills.
• Problem solving mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues and learning from experienced engineers.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and a commitment to following them.
• Eagerness to gain hands-on experience and contribute to building operations.
• Exposure to computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is beneficial.
