Workday HCM Functional Consultant

Location: Onsite in Houston, TX

Duration: 18-24 month contract

Apex Systems is supporting our Houston-based oil and gas client in their migration from PeopleSoft to Workday. We are looking for a qualified Workday HCM Functional Consultant who will represent the client needs to the implementation partner to work towards an initial go-live date of January 2025.

The client is looking to go live with the following modules: Core HCM, Recruiting, Absence Management, Time and Labor, Payroll, and Benefits.

They will also be releasing Advanced Compensation and Talent Management.

Duties

Configure Workday HCM modules according to best practices

Advise on implementation choices being made and steer towards best practices

Help the client team learn the Workday best practices

Train the team on Workday functionality and configuration

Participate in preparing the team to take over support functions

Requirements

5+ years of Workday functional experience is required

Experience in a Workday HCM implementation with system configuration and stand-up is required

Hands-on experience in support and troubleshooting Workday Core HCM, Recruiting, and Benefits is required

Experience in Absence, Time and Labor, and Payroll is nice to have
