Job Description
The Driver - Relief Combo CDL LC provides relief across all modes of delivery, Small Store, Full Service & Large Store routes. The responsibilities are dependent on the route assigned What your day will look like:
High degree of flexibility required to cover open needs of driver team
Ability to work with handheld device
Accurate accounting for all cases and customer transactions
Ensures proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement daily
Works in partnership with the Sales Supervisor to execute the picture of success
Established positive relationships with all customers, as well as providing superior customer service
Provides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities where they arise
Ability to work with all functional team members
Communicates any store level issues to management
Complies with DOT rules for driving purposes
Maintains rapport with customers
Assist with training, coaching, succession planning of any delivery merchandiser trainees
Small Store Relief
Responsible for merchandising product inside the outlet to company standards
Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays
Keeps coolers, racks, and shelves clean
Maintains backstock in an organized manner
Deliver, rotate, and merchandise product on shelf, displays and all cold equipment
Large Store Relief
Transport and unload products to customers
Relieve in the absence of the Full - Service Delivery Merchandiser in performing all the daily duties of filling, servicing, and cleaning machines on assigned route, and utilizing handheld computer to generate accurate sales of each machine and record all money collected
Full Service
Ensures that each vendor is maintained with proper brands, maximizing productivity for space to sell ratio
Keeps accurate accounting for all daily money, cases, consignment, and unit transactions
Maintain the coin mech/change dispenser at every fill, adjust and clean mechanism to ensure proper working as needed
Completes end of the day settlement and paperwork
Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management What you need to succeed:
Minimum age 21 years old
Class A Commercial Driver's License required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet
The ability to maintain DOT physical requirements
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively in fast - paced environment
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6-12 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Must be able to operate a manual or motorized pallet jack Physical Requirements
Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
