Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation Installation Expert to lead high-quality industrial and automation installation and relocation projects. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure the effective supervision and startup of equipment, whether installed, dismantled, or commissioned.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Report directly to the Installation/Relocation Manager regarding project assignments and daily activity updates.

Collaborate on-site or in-house with electrical, mechanical, build, and engineering teams based on project needs.

Proactively assess tasks to be completed, assigning work within project constraints while maintaining clear communication with team members.

Lead the on-site team in daily tasks, ensuring that all completed work and equipment installations adhere to our quality standards.

Work closely with GRG departments such as engineering, project management, and installation throughout the machine building, debugging, validation, and commissioning processes.

Consult with engineering, project management, and customers to clearly define project scopes and milestones.

Ensure adherence to safety standards as per GRG America and site-specific requirements, both on-site and in-house.

Collaborate with controls and mechanical teams to test and debug automation and electrical systems for final acceptance at customer sites.

Document rework and provide feedback to Engineering and Project Management teams.

Deliver exceptional aftermarket support for both emergency service and planned maintenance.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed equipment as required.

Assist with installation and provide daily service reports to project teams.

Break down and communicate work plans to ensure alignment with project goals.

Coordinate with Project Management to create a detailed timing plan for on-site work.

Facilitate the development of installation cadences with the project team.

Maintain constant communication with the project team to promote transparency and information sharing.

Prepare timely service, warranty, and other reports for both customers and internal distribution.

Manage on-site resources, including contractors and in-house staff, to achieve project deliverables.

Coordinate with the Documentation Department to ensure all project-related documents are accurate and current.

Update documentation for field operations and upgrades on the network in the correct project locations.

Identify sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction, liaising with the sales/applications team when necessary.

Assist in quotations and provide technical sales support as needed.

Share product improvement suggestions and customer feedback with colleagues and upper management.

Participate actively in project meetings to align on-site goals with overarching project objectives.

Collaborate with engineers to conduct product testing, while attending project kick-off and lessons learned meetings.

Support the sales team with pre-sales technical concepts and budgeting as necessary.

Interpret client requirements, identify design parameters and engineering challenges, and ensure timely solution implementation.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Strong background in mechanical or electrical automation.

Ability to effectively organize and plan tasks to meet company goals.

Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to work independently and in teams.

Self-motivated and resourceful, exhibiting strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a high-output environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and eDrawings.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required to support various projects.
