REPORTS TO:General Manager.DRESS CODE:Uniform providedPHYSICAL:Requires the ability to lift 40 pounds.NARRATIVE:A banquet cook will handle food preparation for large groups of people. Hours vary based on events. There is NO restaurant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparation and execution of food items required for all events, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Perform cooking, carving, and/or buffet stations as required
Operates food production equipment according to manufacturers' instructions
Carefully follows standard recipes while preparing all items
Plates food items for service (with assistance from banquet staff)
Maintains the inventory of food and supplies
Makes sure all items are wrapped, dated, labeled, and stored properly
Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices.
Keeps all areas of the kitchen clean and organized
Attends staff meetings
Sets up plating line for banquet
Supports breakfast staff on busy days
Weekends required
