We are excited to announce that The Boat House will soon be reopening our à la carte dining experience, bringing back our signature dishes and introducing new, chef-driven creations in a refreshed, inviting atmosphere. As we prepare for this exciting relaunch, we are looking for a dedicated Assistant General Manager to help lead our team and deliver exceptional guest experiences in both our restaurant and event spaces.
The AGM plays a critical leadership role, working closely with the General Manager to oversee all front-of-house operations, drive excellence in guest service, and ensure smooth day-to-day performance. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for service, operations, and team development in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
Responsibilities:
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with department heads to optimize service standards, streamline processes, and maintain an exceptional dining experience.
Train and supervise staff, ensuring they provide excellent guest service and uphold our restaurant's high standards.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring proper stock levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation, timely service, and adherence to quality standards.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and promotional activities to attract new customers and increase revenue.
Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and financial performance.
Oversee beverage operations and bar operations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, soliciting feedback and addressing any concerns to ensure a positive dining experience.
Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment throughout the restaurant.
Collaborate with the General Manager in budget planning, cost control, and financial management.
Qualifications:
3 years' experience in a similar level managerial role in a high-volume restaurant environment is required.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns.
Solid knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office and restaurant management software.
