Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Snowflake Administrator to manage and optimize our Snowflake data platform. In this role, you will leverage Python to automate data management tasks, streamline workflows, and support cross-functional data needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Snowflake administration, data analysis, and automation, with a focus on implementing scalable, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Configuration: Configure and optimize Snowflake environments, including virtual warehouses, storage, and compute resources.

Automation Development: Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate Snowflake administration tasks, such as resource scaling, user provisioning, and usage monitoring.

Data Integration: Implement data integration workflows in Snowflake using Python, leveraging libraries like snowflake-connector-python or pandas for ETL processes.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor and tune Snowflake performance, using Python to analyze usage patterns and optimize costs.

Security Management: Manage Snowflake security, including role-based access control (RBAC) and encryption, with Python-driven automation.

Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve Snowflake issues, ensuring high availability and data integrity.

Collaboration: Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to support data pipelines and reporting needs in Snowflake.

Documentation: Document Snowflake setups, Python automation scripts, and operational procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.Requirements:

What You Bring:

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3-5 years of experience in data platform administration, with a minimum of 1-2 years in Snowflake.

Proficiency in Snowflake administration, including SQL, Snowpipe, and data management.

Strong Python skills for automation and data manipulation, particularly using pandas and numpy.

Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration with Snowflake.

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.

Bonus points if you have:

Experience with advanced Snowflake features such as data sharing, zero-copy cloning, or multi-cluster warehouses.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control (e.g., Git) for managing Python scripts.
