What you'll be doing:

Acting as the primary accounting liaison for Odessa Lease Management System initiatives and enhancements.

Ensuring that system changes support accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with GAAP and ASC 842.

Leading accounting process reviews, reconciliations, and validations related to Odessa integrations and system workflows.

Collaborating with Technology and Product teams to translate accounting requirements into technical system specifications.

Supporting internal controls, audits, and compliance initiatives through effective system usage and reporting.

Participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies and user acceptance testing (UAT) as the accounting subject matter expert.

Providing accounting guidance during development cycles, sprint reviews, and process improvement initiatives.

Training and mentoring accounting team members on system workflows and updates.

What you have:

5 or more years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

At least 2 years of Controller or similar accounting experience.

Experience leading or supporting ERP system integrations or accounting systems migrations.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and lease accounting standards (ASC 842 required).

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Ability to work collaboratively across Accounting, Technology, and Product teams.

Strong communication skills for cross-functional project work and system initiatives.

What will make you stand out:

CPA certification or CPA candidate.

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Background in leasing, equipment finance, or financial services industry.

Hands-on experience participating in Agile or iterative software development cycles.

Exposure to Salesforce and system integrations with accounting platforms.

Essential Functions:

Serve as the Accounting SME for Odessa system projects, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

Perform complex reconciliations, financial validations, and system data quality reviews.

Collaborate with technical teams to document and test accounting-related system enhancements.

Represent the Accounting function during cross-functional meetings, sprint planning, and demos.

Maintain high attention to detail while handling multiple projects and deliverables.

Work on-site as needed, perform prolonged computer-based tasks, and interact with colleagues via digital collaboration tools.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security protocols for financial and client information.
