Requirement: Must be a Registered Dietitian with CDR with 2+ Years Professional Experience
Position Details: Act as food allergen expert, participate in menu planning and plan engaging nutrition and wellness events on campus
Salary: $80,000 - 85,000 per year depending on experience

Job Summary
We are seeking a Full-Time, Onsite Campus Registered Dietitian to join our dining team with Chartwells Higher Education at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA! George Mason University is a public university in the greater DC area with over 40,000 students across multiple campuses. George Mason has over 30 dining locations and Division I athletics.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides nutrition education & training support for the campus community including tabling, lunch & learn sessions, one-on-one counseling, etc.
Implements Chartwells Higher Education wellness programming
Coordinates with the dining management team and culinary associates to meet dietary needs for all customers
Provides nutrition related training including food allergen training to all associates
Assists the management team with menu development and nutrient analysis
Collaborates with marketing to ensure appropriate nutrition communication & messaging
Leads Dining Services Sustainability efforts - partnering with operations and campus stakeholders to track, improve, and communicate sustainability efforts in all dining spaces
Operational execution and oversight - hands-on work in dining spaces to serve guests, train associates, audit systems, collaborate with unit leadership, and ensure excellence in operations and culinary services
Partner with various campus offices, departments, and organizations to ensure alignment with university goals and needs
Qualifications:
Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable
At least 2 years of professional experience as a RD, preferably in food service, campus or K12 dining
Good working knowledge of food allergies and dietary restrictions strongly preferred
Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract managed services experience desirable
ServSafe(R) Manager certified a plus
Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications and nutrient analysis programs
