ITOps Engineer

Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Chief Broadcast Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

Works collaboratively with IT and the operations teams to streamline our software delivery process and automate key processes and systems.

Focus on the implementation, monitoring, and optimization of continuous integration and delivery of continuous improvement, infrastructure management, and deployment strategies.

Work closely with the third-party management service vendor to monitor network and devices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain desktop devises and associated software package (MS Office, Sharepoint, Adobe, Google Docs) to ensure reliable operation.

Optimize use of network devises to ensure low cost/high reliability.

Implement monitoring and logging of all network devices to ensure accurate device inventory.

Work closely with system administrator to ensure smooth deployment of applications and address any operational concerns for end-users.

Enforce security best practices, including access management, data encryption, and vulnerability management in collaboration with the third-party management service vendor.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting issues related to desktop devices, infrastructure, software use, and performance.

Support the news, broadcast and audio distribution channels as required.

All other duties as assigned.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure third party vendor SLA’s are being achieved and intervene as necessary.

Ensure an accurate inventory of network devises, maintenance agreements, third-party software deployments, and associated costs.

Continually reduce maintenance and operating costs as defined in quarterly goals.

KEY COMPETENCY COMPONENTS

SKILLS

Proficiency in MS desktop support, some scripting languages, desktop trouble shooting.

Proficiency in trouble shooting software issues for end-users.

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of MS products and third-party software such as Adobe, Drop Box, etc.

EXPERIENCE

Proven experience in a DevOps or Desktop support role.

Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.

At least two (2) years of practical work experience.

OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS:

May be asked to work longer hours and occasional weekends with short notice.

As you will/may be driving a company vehicle or your own vehicle for company business, a valid driver’s license and a good driving record as determined by a driver’s license background check is required for this position.

All team members must successfully pass a background check (7 years), FBI fingerprint clearance and PA child clearance.Requirements:
