Friendship Village of Dublin is looking for our next Cook's Assistant.
Essential Duties:
Make awesome meals for AWESOME Residents! 5-star Dining!
Follow established FVD and Dietary standards and procedures, and maintains a positive, friendly and courteous attitude toward residents, coworkers and guests at all times.
Adds a layer of support and organization to the overall culinary operations. Working as a peer in the kitchen, rather than as a member of management, the prep cook is responsible for preparing meals and details that result in a smooth meal service.
The prep cooks is vital to the kitchen for an optimal guest experience. Works with kitchen team members to prepare delicious food, supports time management, efficiency of preparing orders, and creating a positive guest experience. The Prep cook provides advanced support during peak times, completes opening and closing duties, restocking workstations and proper set up of the kitchen.
Qualifications:
A desire to make a difference!
Willingness to grow!
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One-year prep cook experience preferably a geriatric setting preferred.
Uses different types of equipment in the kitchen depending on the need, including ovens, fryers, mixers, steamers, dish machines, utensils, slicers, knives, etc.
