At the Heart & Vascular Institute, we are looking for a dedicated Registered Radiologic Technologist to join our compassionate team. In this role, you will be a vital caregiver, responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing invasive cardiology and radiology studies.
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000!
Your Responsibilities
Administer contrast material as requested by the physician, while monitoring for any hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
Assist with inventory and supplies to ensure smooth operations.
Verify patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
Compile essential clinical information related to lab and pathology.
Support the training of new staff as needed.
Document all procedures accurately according to established policies.
Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
Perform all essential functions of a Radiologic Technologist, including on-call duties and variable shifts.
Maintain a sterile field during procedures and assess patients for allergies.
Engage in various cardiac procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations, and structural heart procedures.
Utilize adjunctive tools for procedures, such as ICUS, FFR/iFR, and more.
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
Registered in Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
Education: Certificate of Completion; Associate's Degree
Other Knowledge/Skills: Relevant technical skills and a commitment to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $30.72 - $52.84 per hour. This range reflects a good faith minimum and maximum for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including experience, qualifications, and shifts worked.
