Patient Access Site Director II Location: Chattanooga, TN 37404 (100% Onsite) Salary: $100K-$125K, up to 10% AIP Bonus Job Summary The Patient Access Site Director II is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Patient Access department, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of patients through the patient access workflow.

This role focuses on implementing process improvements and fostering collaboration to enhance overall efficiency and patient satisfaction.

The ideal candidate must be highly responsive, detail-oriented, and proactive in anticipating potential challenges while maintaining strong client relations.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead and execute process improvement initiatives to align with Conifer and client objectives.Monitor and analyze department metrics, proactively identifying areas for improvement.Develop and implement action plans to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Manage departmental budget and cost-control measures.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Patient Access processes, technologies, and regulatory requirements.Oversee staffing activities, including recruitment, selection, training, and performance management.Provide mentorship and development opportunities for supervisors and staff to ensure engagement and alignment with organizational goals.Collaborate with Client Services to address client concerns and requests without compromising operational efficiencies.Identify and resolve performance impediments related to technology, processes, and workflows.

Financial Responsibility & ScopeVaries based on hospital size, volume, and payer mix.Applicable settings may include:Hospitals with 300+ beds8+ points of entry (including clinics/satellites)Management of 2-3 mid-sized hospitals or multi-site locationsFacilities generating $200M+ in Net Patient Revenue Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect Reports: Patient Access Managers or SupervisorsIndirect Reports: Patient Access Representatives (PA I-IV, PA Scheduler) Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong leadership, management, and organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Proficiency in budget management and financial oversight.In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements.Extensive knowledge of insurance processes and patient access operations.Effective delegation and team development capabilities.

Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree preferred.3-5 years of management experience in Revenue Cycle, Business Services, or Acute Healthcare settings preferred.Extensive knowledge of Patient Access required.Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification preferred.

Physical DemandsAbility to work in a seated position, operate a computer, and answer telephones.Capability to walk across hospital campuses, including Emergency Departments.Ability to travel as required.

Work EnvironmentOffice and hospital-based work environments.Approximately 45% travel may be required.

Other RequirementsCompliance with all required vaccinations and screenings, including but not limited to COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations, as mandated by law and organizational policies.
