Director of Central Processing

Pride Health is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Central Processing to lead and manage sterilization and high-level disinfection practices across the main CPD and satellite reprocessing sites.

This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory standards (AAMI, AORN, JCAHO, CDC, CMS) and provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and resource management.

Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team DevelopmentDirect, mentor, and manage a team of supervisors and frontline staff in Central Processing.Lead hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and staff development planning.Ensure full compliance with HR policies and union contracts.

Operations & Workflow ManagementAssess daily CPD and satellite reprocessing needs to align resources and equipment effectively.Act as a subject matter expert on sterilization, infection control, and high-level disinfection.Maintain oversight of documentation, regulatory audits, IFUs, and departmental QA/QC processes.

Compliance & SafetyEnforce adherence to standards set by AAMI, AORN, JCAHO, CDC, CMS, and OSHA.Lead ongoing education and annual competency assessments in disinfection and sterilization.

Budgeting & Resource AllocationDevelop and manage annual operating, personnel, and capital budgets.Oversee inventory management, equipment maintenance, and vendor coordination.

Technology & ReportingUtilize platforms such as Censitrac, Kronos, OneSource, Torq, Microsoft Office Suite.Provide timely data and performance metrics for leadership and infection control committees.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree – RequiredMinimum of 7 years’ experience in a Central Sterile Processing or Operating Room settingMust have or obtain within 90 days:CRCST (IAHCSMM) or CSPDT (ASHCSP)CHL certification is a plusProven track record of leading leaders and managing cross-functional clinical teamsProficient in MS Office, hospital systems, and sterilization tracking softwareStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Additional Information:Location: Boston, MA 02118Job Type: 13 Week (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity – Client seeking permanent hire after contract completion)Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Day shift (8-hour shifts)Pay Range: $72 - $83/Hour *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
