Job Description: The Referrals/Charge Capture Specialist is responsible for charge review and processing, referral and authorization reconciliation, and providing coding support to optimize billing efficiency.
The role demands expertise in RCM processes and a coding certification (CPC-A, CPC, or CCS), with a strong focus on accuracy and collaboration with providers.
Key Responsibilities: Obtain, review, reconcile, and process charges from various capture systemsEnter patient demographic information into the Practice Management systemReview charges for accuracy, including date of service, procedures, diagnosis, and patient detailsVerify and ensure referrals and authorizations are attached to accounts before billing submissionQuery providers for incomplete or unclear chargesWork and resolve appropriate work queues in the Practice Management systemReconcile charges prior to month-end to ensure complete revenue captureProvide backup support for charge entry and answer patient callsOffer provider education to improve charge efficiency where neededPerform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications: CPC-A, CPC, or CCS certification with Charge Entry experienceStrong full-cycle Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) backgroundKnowledge and understanding of authorizations and referrals processesPrevious provider education experience is a plusTech-savvy with proficiency in Allscripts, Touchworks, Phressia, Doctalk, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Highly organized with excellent communication skills Additional Details: Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible start between 7:00 AM–9:00 AM (40 hours/week, 30-minute lunch)Work Location: Onsite for the first 90 days, then hybrid opportunity based on performanceStart Date: ASAPDress Code: Business/Business casualEnvironment: Central Business Office (CBO) settingTransportation: Must have a carCompliance: Background check required; no vaccination requirementEducation Required: GED minimum Equal Opportunity Statement: Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
