We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced municipal attorney to become an integral part of our dynamic legal team in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing comprehensive legal services to municipal clients, addressing a variety of matters such as land use, contracts, and government regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional legal guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Offer legal counsel on municipal law topics, including land use, subdivision regulations, public improvement districts, elections, procurement, contracts, and utility matters.

• Draft, negotiate, and review agreements such as real estate transactions, development agreements, tax incentive agreements, and easements.

• Prepare, amend, and analyze city codes, ordinances, and resolutions to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and municipal staff to provide legal guidance on development projects and annexations.

• Conduct in-depth research on municipal ordinances and state laws to support legal decision-making.

• Review and approve meeting agendas in compliance with state and local government codes.

• Attend client meetings and travel within the state as required to provide on-site legal support.

• Work efficiently to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.• Active license to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience specializing in municipal law.

• Proven expertise in land use, annexation, and planning matters.

• Strong ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents and presentations.

• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and thoroughness.

• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, document management systems, and calendar management.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a client-focused environment.

• Willingness to travel in-state for client meetings and other legal engagements.
