We are partnered with a client to source for an experienced and dynamic Controller to join our client's team on a contract / contract-to-hire basis in the Ft. Myers, Florida area. This position requires strong leadership skills as you will oversee key financial accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the hospitality industry while ensuring financial stability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage and execute month-end closing processes to maintain financial integrity.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Conduct cash flow analysis to optimize financial resources and support organizational goals.
• Provide financial planning and oversight for upcoming construction projects, ensuring effective budgeting and execution.
• Collaborate with auditors and banking partners to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Utilize industry-specific ERP system to streamline accounting and reporting processes.
• Lead and mentor team members within accounting and payroll departments to foster a productive work environment.
• Ensure adherence to business casual standards while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation and month-end close processes.
• Expertise in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
• Proficiency in cash flow analysis and financial planning.
• Familiarity with hospitality-specific ERP systems a plus.
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability & willingness to work fully onsite in Ft. Myers, Florida, adhering to business casual dress code.
