Summary of Essential Functions
Responsible for providing a consistent positive first and lasts impression to our guests when they arrive and leave from our facility.
Parks guest vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner.
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or GED highly preferred.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Licensure and Certifications
Must have current class “C” driver’s license (State of Texas) and be capable of driving a manual transmission vehicle.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must remain insurable under liability insurance policy, i.e. over age 21 and no moving violations.
Possess the manual dexterity to safely operate a motor vehicle.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to access locations of a non-wheelchair accessible variety
Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and walking
Must be able to withstand extended periods exposure to environmental heat and cold conditions
Must be physically fit and able to walk from valet area to parking lot numerous times per shift.
Should possess vision and hearing within correctable limits, adjustable to normal accepted levels
Duties and Responsibilities
Parks guest vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner
Provide Claim check and instruct guests on how to reclaim vehicle
Provide travel directions and community information for visitors.
Provide accurate and timely information and reports of departmental activities and status including, claim checks, vehicle damage, statement, and conditions which require attention or repair.
Obey all traffic laws on and off of UR property.
Promote the courteous treatment of customers and resolving guest service issues.
Provide timely & knowledgeable service; and then some! Always find solutions to Guests’ problems.
Greet arriving and departing guests. Open passenger door(s) and offer assistance, if appropriate.
Performs all other tasks/responsibilities as necessary.
