We are seeking an experienced Hadoop Developer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer with a strong background in Hadoop, Teradata, ETL, Python, and Apache Spark, and extensive experience leading Google Cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will bring technical depth, leadership skills, and the ability to deliver complex enterprise solutions in a collaborative, agile environment.

Job requirements

Lead and contribute to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) migration projects, ensuring the seamless transition of applications and data.

Develop and implement cloud-native solutions using Python, Hadoop, Apache Spark, and related tools.

Work with Teradata and Hadoop environments to support data movement, transformation, and analytics.

Design and implement ETL processes to support enterprise data workflows.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver secure, high-performing cloud applications.

Provide technical leadership in solutioning, design, deployment, and security for GCP migration initiatives.

Communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders, providing clear technical updates and recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of application development and implementation experience using Python and Hadoop.

3+ years of experience leading Google Cloud migration projects.

3+ years of experience in building, deploying, and securing GCP migration applications.

3+ years of experience in solutioning and implementing cloud-native solutions.

2+ years of Agile experience.

10+ years of experience delivering complex, enterprise-wide IT solutions.

Strong experience with Teradata, ETL development, and Apache Spark.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a virtual and distributed environment, collaborating across time zones and locations.

Preferred Skills:

Google Cloud certifications

Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines

Familiarity with big data ecosystem tools (Hive, Pig, Flume, etc.)

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities

Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable
