Workplace Type: This position is fully on-site at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in Warrenton, Virginia.

Compensation: Kaiva Tech is looking for a talented Security Program Protection Specialist to join the team full-time.
This position pays $110,000 - $120,000; salary dependent on qualifications.
Please note that the salary range for this role considers a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions to include and not limited to experience, skill sets, training, certifications, and other organizational needs.
Summary Overview: The Security Program Protection Specialist supports the Defense Continuity Integrated Network (DCIN) Program by delivering comprehensive physical, technical, and administrative security services.
This role involves evaluating and accrediting government and contractor facilities handling classified information, developing security documentation, conducting inspections and staff assistance visits, and supporting compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmentalized Information, and Intelligence Community (IC) Directives.

In this exciting opportunity as a Security Program Protection Specialist your responsibilities will include: Evaluate Government and industrial facility plan for physical security accreditation.
Prepare correspondence for submission to higher authorities that identify discrepancies in submitted plans or approve/accredit the facility.
All correspondence will be prepared in accordance with the applicable security classification guide and in the Government supplied format.
Develop all security documentation to include standard operating procedures, memorandums for Government approval and signature, inspection checklists, required by DoD, SCI and SAP physical security and Telecommunications Electronics Materials Protected from Emanating Spurious Transmissions (TEMPEST) requirements.
Draft Technical Security Countermeasures.
Assist the Government in conducting security reviews and staff assistance visits at Government and industry locations applying regulatory directives to ensure the location being reviewed complies.
Develop a comprehensive security education and awareness program that meets criteria outlined in DoD Manuals and Instructions.
Develop, disseminate and present security education materials that provide blended learning opportunities.
Administer security review programs, establish the review schedule, generate correspondence for Government signature, maintain security review, track status of findings and monitor follow-up reports from sites reviewed.
Maintain distribution list of all program locations and disseminate correspondence, directives, as required by the Government.
Assist the DISA PSO in the daily administration of satellite facilities located in the DISA facilities in accordance with DoD Manuals and Instructions.
Provide general support to the Security Program as required.
Assist the Government with security incidents' administrative documentation and processes as directed.
Assisting with various additional tasks as directed by the Program Manager.

Required Experience and Skills: A minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, program protection, or related fields, particularly within government or defense sectors.
Experience with DoD and IC security directives (e.g., DoDM 5205.01, ICD 705). Knowledge of SAP, SCI, and physical security standards.
Strong technical writing skills for producing formal security correspondence and documentation.
Ability to support training and awareness initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge utilizing Microsoft 365, MS Office, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
Desired Experience and Skills: Recent experience supporting DoD office environment is strongly desired.
Experience with Communications Security (COMSEC) procedures.
Education: Bachelor's degree in security management, information security, or a related field.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily.
Ability to walk long distances without assistance and proficiently inspect access-confined spaces.
