About this position:

The Senior Credit Analyst role is responsible for the underwriting and evaluation of commercial real estate and commercial and industrial loan requests as well as SBA 7a, 504 and USDA B&I requests. This individual will work in conjunction with the loan officer in preparing credit packages for loan presentations. They will also assist and mentor Credit Analysts to complete assignments. Assignments include preparing business, personal and global cash flow analysis, income and expense analysis, balance sheet analysis, collateral analysis, real estate operating analysis, sensitivity analysis and market /industry analysis.

What you’ll do:

Preparing quality, detailed financial analysis including cash flow models, collateral analysis and market analysis to identify potential credit risks and to mitigate to these risks.

Evaluating complex financial statements to spread and analyze for credit review and underwriting.

Making credit recommendations in accordance with credit union lending policies.

Working closely with the commercial lenders and clients in the completion of all loan analysis.

Preparing annual reviews for credits in excess of $500,000. Analysis will include review of the financial statements, tax returns, personal financial statements, credit reports, public record and industry data as well as performing real estate operating analysis, interest rate sensitivity analysis and financial modeling.

Mentoring and assisting in training less experienced commercial credit analysts.

Assisting in maintaining loan files and assisting in monitoring loans to ensure proper maintenance regarding updated client financial information and covenant compliance.

Working on FIMAC analytic or other Stress Testing Software and reports as requested. Facilitating reporting and requests on behalf of the Bank with third parties (such as appraisers).

Assisting management with tasks related to the Credit Department, performing various special projects and providing support to other operational areas within the credit union.

What You’ll Bring:

Five years to eight years of credit underwriting or similar experience is required.

Strong working knowledge of accounting, finance and credit risk concepts.

Strong working knowledge in underwriting commercial business, construction, commercial real estate lending and SBA loans.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field of study
