Job Description:

Rice F.W. Technologies is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to support the State of Michigan. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power Platform administration and governance, with hands-on experience managing environments, automating business processes, and deploying secure, scalable solutions. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence in Lansing, MI, and an in-person interview is mandatory.

Specialty Areas:

• Power Platform Administration – Manage Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse environments including security, flows, and governance.

• Governance & Security – Implement and manage data loss prevention policies, auditing, access controls, and user authentication.

• Data Integration & Modeling – Utilize Dataverse, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Power BI to create robust, secure data workflows and visualizations.

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting – Resolve complex technical issues and provide end-user support and documentation.

• Stakeholder Communication – Effectively translate technical content for business users and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), permissions, environments, and deployments.

• Maintain Dataverse components such as entities, fields, data modeling, import/export processes, and security roles.

• Administer Power Automate flows, gateways, security configurations, and trigger/action definitions.

• Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including user/group management and access policies.

• Support Power BI environments including datasets, reports, sharing, and security settings.

• Develop and enforce Power Platform governance strategies including DLP policies and audit logging.

• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues across Power Platform tools.

• Communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Adapt to changing business needs and technical priorities.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Minimum 12 years of overall IT experience

• Minimum 4 years hands-on Power Platform experience

• Strong experience with Dataverse, Power Automate, Power BI, and Azure AD

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Ability to attend in-person interview and work onsite in Lansing, MI

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with State of Michigan or other government clients

• Knowledge of enterprise-level platform governance and compliance practices

• Familiarity with environment strategy, DLP policies, and logging
