Network Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced networking solutions for our clients. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sophisticated networking solutions to meet client requirements.

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues unresolved by lower-tier support teams.

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful deployment of networking and security infrastructure.

• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting processes.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced team members, fostering their growth.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships during escalations and project implementations.

• Conduct network assessments and propose enhancements to improve system performance and security.

• Configure and troubleshoot advanced routing, switching, wireless, and security systems.

• Provide support for voice and collaboration technologies to ensure seamless communication.

• Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices to deliver cutting-edge solutions.• Strong understanding of networking protocols such as IP, BGP, and configuration management tools.

• Hands-on experience with at least two of the following: Cisco routers, switches, or wireless; Aruba switches or wireless; Meraki switching and wireless; or security appliances from Cisco, Meraki, or Fortinet.

• Advanced knowledge of routing and security protocols, multifactor authentication, and cloud-based solutions.

• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Cisco or Mitel telephony solutions.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide non-technical users effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio for documentation and reporting purposes.

• Associate's Degree in an IT-related field and at least 8 years of experience in networking, security, or system design.

• Relevant certifications, such as Cisco, Fortinet, or Aruba, are required; additional certifications are preferred.
