Robert Half has partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturing company in Garner, North Carolina to assist them in hiring an experienced Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelors degree in accounting or finance and at least three years of corporate or public accounting experience. Candidates with manufacturing and inventory accounting experience are strongly preferred. In this role, you will work closely with the Controller to ensure the accuracy of financial operations and contribute to the company’s overall financial health. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Responsibilities:
• Apply daily cash transactions and maintain customer account records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and analyze sales and commission reports, as well as process customer invoices.
• Monitor customer credit and maintain communication to ensure timely collections.
• Conduct inventory analysis, valuation, and maintain control measures for inventory management.
• Prepare sales and cash forecasts to support financial planning.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and develop supporting schedules.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions with corporate parent and subsidiary companies.
• Complete bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow reporting.
• Cross-train with team members in the Accounting Department to ensure operational efficiency and support.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as assigned by the Controller.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with preference for work in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
• Strong analytical abilities, particularly with data analysis and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with inventory and fixed asset accounting processes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
