Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong blend of expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to oversee and drive cross-functional IT initiatives. In this role, you will lead Scrum events, provide Agile coaching to teams, and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring the successful delivery of critical strategic objectives—including those requiring traditional Waterfall approaches. This opportunity is perfect for a results-oriented leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to streamlining processes and achieving organizational goals.

Please note: If you have a heavier focus on Scrum/Agile methodologies and limited experience with Waterfall/Traditional project management approaches, this may not be the right fit—balanced experience across both is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and oversee Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

• Coach Agile teams to adopt and adhere to Agile principles, enabling them to deliver high-quality products and services.

• Identify team strengths and areas for improvement, providing guidance and development to enhance performance.

• Promote and enforce Scrum theory and practices within the team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve project obstacles and support informed decision-making.

• Lead some projects using traditional Waterfall methodology, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.

• Maintain and update project scorecards, presenting progress and status to stakeholders as needed.

• Develop and nurture strong relationships with third-party vendors to support project success.

• Work with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to advance Agile practices within the organization.

• Escalate project challenges and roadblocks to management for timely resolution.• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing IT projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Proficiency in facilitating Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.

• Demonstrated ability to guide teams in self-organization and cross-functional collaboration.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.

• Experience with tools like Azure DevOps for managing workflows and coordinating project activities.

• Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects and ensuring timely delivery of objectives.

• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with vendors and external partners.

• Certification in Agile practices, such as Scrum Alliance, is highly desirable.
