Accounting Manager

Job Description

Robert Half is currently looking for an interim Accounting Manager to support a Manufacturing client in Columbus, OH. Client is looking for someone who has prior experience at the Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller level, who can provide immediate value in this short-term, interim engagement. This role will support a range of controllership duties to include: month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and oversight/leadership of A/R and A/P. Role is based 100% onsite at the client's location in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting

• Ensure accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Manage cash flow and regularly review capital expenditures and tooling accounting

• Lead a team of senior accountants and AR/AP staff

• Apply knowledge of GAAP in all accounting practices

• Oversee month end, quarter end, and year-end financial closure

• Manage and process journal entries

• Carry out balance sheet reconciliation

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Apply experience in a manufacturing environment

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Manager

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Experience with General Ledger management

• Ability to manage Journal Entries

• Knowledge and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated skills in People Management

• Strong understanding of US GAAP

• Experience in Month End Close, Quarter-end and Year End Closings

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge in Manufacturing sector is preferable
