Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Miami, Florida. This role involves hands-on accounting responsibilities, including overseeing financial processes and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing month-end closings and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain smooth financial operations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.
• Work with accounting software systems to streamline processes and maintain data integrity.
• Handle billing functions, including invoice preparation and payment tracking.
• Perform internal audits to monitor and improve financial controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies and optimize processes.
• Utilize tools such as Concur and Crystal Reports to enhance reporting and expense management.
• Support payroll processing and related financial activities using platforms like ADP.• Proven experience in accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and auditing.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools such as Concur and Crystal Reports.
• Familiarity with payroll systems, particularly ADP, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of billing processes and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in managing financial data.
• Knowledge of DCAA compliance and other regulatory standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a hands-on accounting role.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with various teams.
