About This Role:

A combination of academic qualifications, technical skills, teaching abilities, and research capabilities.

What You'll Do - Position Responsibilities:

Teaching: Teach students (both graduate and undergraduate) face-to-face in the

classroom and online. Teach Courses in Strategy and Organizational Behavior.

Research: Publish in academic journals and attend academic conferences.

Service: Display leadership and participate in the development, implementation,

and evaluation of college and department programs. Participate in department,

college, and university committees, and other activities associated with

professional status and perform duties essential to the college and university

mission. Perform related duties essential to the university teaching profession.

A blend of academic qualifications, research proficiency, teaching abilities, and leadership skills. Here are some essential KSAs for this role:

Teaching Excellence:

Ability to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses online and on-campus including but not limited to principles of finance, investments and portfolio management and financial modeling.

Skill in developing course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with learning objectives.

Proficiency in employing various teaching methods to engage students and promote active learning

Teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses.

Develop and update course content to reflect current trends and practices in finance.

Research Skills:

Strong research background demonstrated through publications in reputable academic journals, preferably in the publications listed in the Australian Business Deans Council Journal Quality List.

Secure external funding to support research activities, where applicable.

Communication and Presentation Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences, including students, colleagues, and industry professionals.

Analytical and Critical Thinking:

Capacity to apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to strategic decision-making processes.

Leadership and Collaboration:

Capability to collaborate with colleagues within the academic department and across disciplines.

Leadership skills in guiding student organizations and academic initiatives.

Professional Development:

Commitment to ongoing professional development through scholarly activities, conferences, and workshops.

Ethical Conduct:

Adherence to ethical standards in research, teaching, and professional interactions.

Physical Requirements:

To be on-campus for teaching and other academic activities.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):

Qualified candidates should have a terminal degree in Finance from an AACSB-accredited or equivalent institution.

Applicants should have the ability to teach Principles of Finance and Financial Modeling. Applicants must also demonstrate excellence in research as indicated by quality refereed publications, and display leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of college and departmental programs.

Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience):

Prior teaching experience is desirable.
