**Job Title: CNC Machinist**

**Job Description**

This position is for a CNC Lathe Machinist responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, editing and understanding programming, and setting up machines with appropriate fixtures and jigs. You will ensure parts are machined within precise tolerances.

**Responsibilities**

+ Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and drawings, including symbols, welding symbols, material types, and shapes.

+ Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, and specifications, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.

+ Perform basic machining math, including fractional/decimal conversion and basic trigonometry, to calculate dimensions and tolerances.

+ Properly set up and operate CNC Lathe machines to required specifications.

+ Utilize machining tools such as high-speed drills, carbide drills, and taps.

+ Edit and program mills using HAAS Controllers.

+ Plan and perform a wide variety of diversified close tolerance mill operations.

**Essential Skills**

+ At least 3 to 5 years of experience working with CNC Lathes and setting up machines.

+ Background in short production runs and multiple setups and changeovers per day.

+ Ability to read blueprints and program with HAAS Controllers.

+ Experience with conversational programming and/or G-Code.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
