Job Description

The College of Creative Arts (CCA) seeks candidates for Assistant or Associate Professor to support the Games and Simulation program within the Department of Emerging Technology in Business and Design (ETBD).

Responsibilities may include, but may not be limited to:

teaching courses that may involve game art (3D environments, 3D textures, and/or 3D character animation), technical art, game development, game technology and game design

maintaining an active research and/or creative program

developing curricula

providing service to the University.

ETBD faculty are actively involved in advising students; facilitating graduate/undergraduate interdisciplinary research projects; leading client-based projects; and leading co-curricular activities, student organizations, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

M.F.A. or Ph.D. and games related experience by date of appointment for Assistant Professor; and an established record of teaching and research or creative achievement for appointment as Associate Professor.

Consideration may be given to candidates with an accomplished research or creative achievement record, including a record of significant peer-evaluated scholarship and successful grant writing; demonstrated experience in related areas; a record of experience and/or keen interest in teaching in related areas.
